Covid-19 Visitor Guidelines

To keep our visitors and Museum staff safe, the Museum has the following guidelines in place to safely reopen our doors to visitors. These are based on the state's executive orders and CDC guidelines:

  • If you are not feeling well or are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home.

  • Visitors must make an appointment prior to entering the Museum. Call us at 201-935-1175 or email us at MeadowlandsMuseum@verizon.net

  • Only two groups (max 4 people per group) can visit the museum at a time. There will be a 60 minute time limit.

  • All Museum staff and visitors must wear a mask upon entering the Museum grounds and building. Museum staff members will also wear masks.

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance and all visitors are asked to use this immediately upon entering.

  • 6 feet distance must be maintained between visitor groups and Museum staff in order to comply with the social distancing requirements.

  • The Museum staff will disinfect all high-touch surfaces areas after each visitor group.

  • All volunteers and visitors must sign in upon entering the building indicating their recent history regarding COVID. (name, phone number, recently felt ill with Covid symptoms, seen a doctor, or been tested for Covid in past 14 days? If yes, results of test) If someone currently or recently has felt ill or has tested positive for Covid in past 14 days, we kindly ask that they not come into the Museum.
